The first thing that comes to mind when listening to Deborah Thacker is her sensual voice. It flows so beautifully along with her writing and composing. This CD is worth listening to over and over.

"There are actually two genres that needed their time before they could convince me : jazz and country, call it growing up or whatever but little by little I kind of force myself to give it a try and where else can you found it best than in the undergroundscene? Deborah Thacker is a woman from the Bay Area who does everything herself (she appeared at all the local fairs and played a role in Rumours, a sort of biography about Fleetwood Mac) and on this cd, she is presenting 9 songs. Deborah can't decide which style suits her best, jazz songs or pure traditional country, but why should she decide anyway? Deborah does both genres in a very professional way and she is as much Tammy Wynette as she is Diana Krall. It can be a bit of an unhip genre regarding all the noise-art we usually hear but it doesn't mean it can't be recommended though..."
